not today, maybe tomorrow

Eating disorders (ed) are not weight disorders, they are mental illnesses. Forbidden foods and rigid routines result in delaying thoughts and actions that lead to recovery. "Not today, maybe tomorrow," is a phrase that accompanies anyone struggling with ed. This phrase is the illusionary relief from the anxiety that occurs when a person eats self-forbidden food. The tableware set features different levels of hand-thrown dishes. It is both a materialised portion-size indicator and a motivator to increase the intake of these forbidden, feared foods. Each ridge encourages one to move from level one, to level two, and finally, to level three.

This table set was displayed at conferences related to eating disorders, in collaboration with the non-profit organization 3pe.online.
